RULES AND REGULATIONS
VIBE DANCE COMPETITION 2025 RULES AND REGULATIONS
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH STUDIO, DANCE SCHOOL AND/OR INDIVIDUAL TO REVIEW ALL EXISTING RULES AND REGULATIONS. PLEASE READ AND ADHERE TO ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS PRIOR TO REGISTERING FOR ANY VIBE DANCE COMPETITION.
We know many competitions may seem similar but VIBE is always advancing, we ask that all parents/guardians and authoritative roles please familiarise yourself with everything listed below before entering each competition.
VIBE supports teachers and schools with the upmost respect and understanding that every performance is an art form, therefore all entries submitted are to be considered by the studio director or teacher. We are extremely lucky to work with highly accredited judges who score all routines based on multiple factors, all judges decisions are final.
PAYMENT
All entry fees must be paid online via bank transfer (BACS) by the provided deadline on your invoice. Entry forms must be completed in full NO LATER THAN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT, any incomplete entry forms will not be accepted and entered.
All entries will be confirmed via email and added to the event timetable once full payment has been received, only then will your entries will be secure.
When you receive your invoice the payment due date must be adhered to.
If payments is not received by the date of your invoice your entries will be withdrawn and your space will be given to those on the waiting list.
VIBE will not chase for payments under any circumstances. For all events a deposit of £10 is required per entry to reserve your spot, this fee will then be deducted from your final invoice. The final balance is still due on the deadline date given on your invoice regardless of a deposit being paid.
REFUND POLICY
Any refunds requested after fees have been paid are at the discretion of VIBE. We have a strict refund policy.
All withdrawal requests must be received via email only and it is the responsibility of the studio to do so.
VIBE takes no responsibility for non-receipt of withdrawal.
All deposit money will not be able to be refunded.
Exceptional circumstances – INJURY OR ILLNESS WITH A VALID MEDICAL CERTIFICATE, GOVERNMENT LOCKDOWN OR WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC.
Refunds may take up to 14 days to be credited to your account.

ENTRIES
All entries are accepted on a first come first served basis.
VIBE does not allow any competitors to perform any original or protected choreography that they do not own the rights too.
Dancers may be entered by a studio or as an independent.
VIBE offers the opportunity to compete in SOLOS, DUETS, TRIOS AND SMALL & LARGE GROUPS.
AGE CATEGORIES
7 Years and Under – MINI
8-10 Years – JUNIOR
11-13 Years – INTERMEDIATE
14-16 Years – TEEN
17+ Years – SENIOR
All ages are based on the DATE OF THE COMPETITION the performer will be attending.
Dancers ages for GROUPS/DUETS/TRIOS are averaged. This average age will be the section that the entry competes in.
VIBE does not have a limit on the maximum entries but of course all entries are subject to availability at each event.
Any dancer who is the sole competitor in there chosen section will remain in their chosen genre as the sole competitor, they will place first by default.
TIME LIMITS
Solo: 1min 30 secs - 2 mins (MAX)
Duet/Trio: 2mins - 2mins 30 secs (MAX)
Groups: 3mins 30 secs - 4 Mins (MAX)
Please see the time limits listed above. For example the minimum a Solo entry can be is 1min 30 secs and the absolute maximum time allowed for a Solo is 2 mins. Anything over the maximum time limit for each entry is considered extra time and will not be permitted.
CATEGORIES
Ballet, Modern/Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Commercial/Street/HipHop, Tap, Musical Theatre (Song & Dance), Acrobatics and Open (any genre not fitting above).
MUSIC AND TECH
All music should be submitted by a link sent via email and before the deadline provided. All further music information will be sent once entries are submitted and paid for.
Any music that exceeds time limits above will be rejected.
Please always bring a SPARE MUSIC BACKUP.
All stage lighting and effects are operated by the hosting facility, VIBE cannot change this on event days.
AWARDS AND TITLES
All prizes are awarded in order of the schedule on the event day.
All entrants are scored out of a maximum total of 200 points.
All sections are awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place followed by special awards.
All placements and scores are sent to schools after the event via email, we do not offer score cards.
VIBE Title Entry (Soloists ONLY)
For a dancer to be considered for A VIBE TITLE, please tick the TITLE box on the entry form.
This award can also be entered on the day of the event prior to the performance.
Titles are awarded in each age category (please see above).
Teachers and Chaperones
2 free Teacher passes are provided at each event in the form of a wrist band.
Independent entrants do not receive any free spectator passes.
All schools must be able to provide their own registered chaperones, these must be chaperones who are registered with their own local authority.
Chaperones must check in at the registration desk to gain access and collect a wristband, we will need to validate each chaperone on arrival. They must carry their licence with them at all times and also each school must fill our access form before event day. We accept chaperones of all genders.
Parent helpers are permitted to access the changing areas to assist their OWN child but must not enter the stage or wings.
ALL additional teachers, chaperones and parent helpers must purchase a spectator ticket in order to gain access to the venue, you will not be allowed in without one.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Upon registering you hereby grant permission to VIBE DANCE COMPETITION to publish all photographs and film on, Social Media, Web, television, promotional videos, or any other publication to promote its events.
FINAL AGREEMENTS
By submitting a registration form to any VIBE DANCE COMPETITION, you are agreeing to everything in this document.
VIBE DANCE COMPETITION reserves the right to add, remove, move location, cancel competition days.
By registering you are able to compete at any event and be available to attend the event between 7am and 11pm on the chosen event day.
